Jersey's Christmas Festival
Jersey turns extra-festive this weekend with the start of the island's Christmas Festival or 'La Fête dé Noué' as the locals call it.
Billed as a 'feast of festive fun', the Fête dé Noué sees Jersey come to life with a whole range of events in the run-up to Christmas. Under the twinkling Christmas lights, St Helier becomes a winter wonderland with shops staying open late, street entertainment and open-air markets selling everything from homemade crêpes to roasted chestnuts.
Two weeks of Christmas markets, late-night shopping, street entertainment, ice-skating, spectacular parades and atmospheric town and country walks will get you in the festive spirit - and if that's not working there's even a day of free Christmas movies at Jersey's Arts Centre.
Our highlights? Don't miss ice-skating in Parade Gardens and the fabulously festive 'Spirit of Christmas' market where local craft workers and artisans sell unique gifts. Explore the markets and soak up the Fête dé Noué atmosphere and don't forget to warm up with a hot chocolate at the heated terrace at Café Zephyr at The Royal Yacht.
Jersey's 'La Fête dé Noué' Christmas Festival, 1st - 16th December. Ice-skating from Friday 7th December. For more information and to order a brochure, visit www.jersey.com
