Go wild in Jersey
If you're in Jersey this October half term, let your little monkeys go wild at Durrell Wildlife Park.
A day at Durrell is a uniquely Jersey experience, and from Sunday 25 to Thursday 29 October there are lots of activities for 7 to 11 year-olds.
Lots to learn during October Activity Week in Jersey
From spiders to lemurs, and lots in between, families can learn a lot. Among the activities, you can:
- find out the truth about spiders
- see what animals eat, and make food parcels for them
- learn about the skills and defences that different species use to survive
- discover the animals of Madagascar
Camping at Durrell
It may be getting cold, but for a real walk on the wild side, you can set up camp at Durrell with a night's stay in one of their Wildlife Camp's luxury pods and wake up to the sound of tamarins in the trees.
These geodesic domes are right next to Durrell, and close enough for you to hear their rare and endangered wildlife waking up in the morning. As park 'residents', you'll get the chance to explore the world-renowned Durrell Wildlife Park out of hours.
If you want to take advantage of this unique way to get closer to nature, then you can book a night's stay in one of their luxury pods. You won't be roughing it - there's a double bed, your own private toilet and shower and even a wood-burning stove to keep things cosy.
After one night, you could always go to the more refined luxury of a Luxury Jersey hotel.
Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is an essential Jersey experience that you should have while here.
