Taste Jersey 2020
Local produce will be brought into the spotlight during the second annual Taste Jersey food festival, running from 24 February to 29 March 2020.
The food festival, which was developed in partnership with the Jersey Evening Post, showcases the range of culinary styles in many of Jersey’s leading restaurants with menus that feature the best of local seasonal produce.
A masterclass in Michelin-starred fine dining, the chic and cutting-edge Bohemia Restaurant has won plenty of attention for its exciting flavour combinations and luscious contemporary presentation.
The restaurant has recently appointed Callum Graham into the role of Head Chef. Callum is regarded as one of the UK's most promising young chefs, having appeared on Masterchef: The Professionals and being part of the team at Bohemia that was awarded 5 Rosettes by the AA.
With a relaxed vision of good food, Executive Chef Will Holland’s menus demonstrate his passion for seasonal produce and showcase the finest ingredients from the island and its shores. This ethos is evident across the full range of dining options, from a delicious breakfast to start the day through to impressive a la carte dishes, the daily changing market menu and specially selected vegetarian dishes.
During Taste Jersey, you can enjoy a four course Mini Tasting Menu showcasing the very best local produce for £45 per person.
The unique blends of spices and flavours at Saffrons create a wellbeing restaurant experience that's second to none. Dishes are all exquisitely presented, using the latest modern techniques to showcase recipes inspired by India.
With its modern, fresh approach to Eastern cooking, Saffrons is not your traditional Indian restaurant. The restaurant mixes the Ayurvedic philosophy of 'balance in all things' with the best local produce to come up with a deliciously chic menu and the atmosphere is modern and airy with a muslin-draped ceiling and views out over St Helier.
During Taste Jersey, two tasting menus are available - one of which is completely vegetarian.
Longueville Manor Restaurant
The award-winning restaurant is run by Executive Head Chef Andrew Baird and his team. Andrew has dedicated over 26 years of service to the Restaurant at the manor and works alongside the gardeners to decide exactly what delicious, local and seasonal produce is grown in the Kitchen Garden, which is then incorporated into the daily menus. Andrew’s acute knowledge of the exquisite ingredients on the island and his relationships with their producers are second to none.

Exclusive and indulgent, 4 AA Rosettes Tassili's intimate dining room is the perfect showcase for Executive Chef Nicolas Valmagna's signature style - inspired by his French heritage and love of fresh Jersey produce. Tassili is known for its quality cuisine, with strong emphasis on premium ingredients, combined and cooked with flair and served with panache.
Fusion at L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa
Executive Head Chef Andrew Soddy will take you on a culinary journey, drawing on his own extensive travels to create a distinctive mix of modern British cuisine with subtle Asian influences.
Tantalise your taste buds and explore mouth-watering dishes such as butternut squash and lentil dhal soup served with a soft poached egg and shredded naan bread, as well as sticky glazed chilli pork belly, butternut squash and soya glazed bok choy with toasted sesame seeds.
An a la carte menu is available on Friday and Saturday nights throughout Taste Jersey.
Zephyr at The Royal Yacht
Zephyr is most definitely the place to be seen. The casual dining restaurant has an Asian-influenced brasserie menu including hot oriental salads, sushi and sashimi, Asian spiced meats, and the signature dish, Chili Squid. Head Chef Inaka Weerasinghe has created a special menu for Taste Jersey which emphasises the best local ingredients including Jersey beef and plenty of fresh seafood and shellfish.
La Chaire Restaurant
Set in the Grade II listed country house hotel Chateau La Chaire, La Chaire Restaurant exudes charm and character with its oak-panelled walls and period details providing an intimate setting for exceptional dining.
High quality local produce, cooked creatively and well is at the heart of a good restaurant and that’s just what La Chaire does. Head Chef Tony Brazendale has created a sumptuous 7 course Taste Jersey Tasting Menu featuing plenty of the finest local ingredients.
The Bay Restaurant at St Brelade's Bay Hotel
A destination in its own right, the panelled dining room overlooking the beautiful bay of St Brelade's compliments the very high standard of cuisine and service. The Bay Restaurant is led by Head Chef Alex Apatachioae.
Mark Jordan at the Beach
Mark Jordan at the Beach is the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to hold a Michelin Bib Gourmand - for nine consecutive years no less - in recognition of good cuisine at reasonable prices.
The relaxed beachside restaurant with wonderful views across St Aubin's Bay offers bistro-style menus, cooked simply using fresh Jersey produce.
