Luxury Jersey Hotels launches annual Picture Jersey photography competition with sponsors Jersey Post
Luxury Jersey Hotels is excited to announce that the 2018 Picture Jersey competition launched today, 3 September. Each year, the competition invites the public to submit their best photographs of Jersey's beautiful landscapes and unique lifestyle for the chance to win overnight stays and dining experiences at some of the Island's top hotels and restaurants.
Four winning photographs will be selected to feature on a set of postcards that will be distributed across the group's eight hotels including The Atlantic Hotel, St Brelade's Bay Hotel, The Royal Yacht, L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa, Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, Hotel de France, La Place Hotel & Country Cottages, and The Club Hotel & Spa. A panel of judges will choose three of the winning images whilst a public vote will determine the fourth winner as part of the Readers’ Choice selection. One of the winning photographs will also be selected as the cover image for the Luxury Jersey Hotels annual publication, Discovering Jersey.
Jersey Post is supporting the competition as a title sponsor for the fourth time. David McGrath, Head of Marketing at Jersey Post, commented: "As an island organisation, we feel strongly that we should be supporting other local industry sectors like tourism, which underpin this wonderful island we call home. Jersey Post is very pleased to be part of the Picture Jersey initiative and we are looking forward to seeing the island’s beauty captured by local photographers. "
Patrick Burke, Chairman of Luxury Jersey Hotels, added “Picture Jersey gives locals and visitors the opportunity to share their favourite photos showcasing Jersey’s natural beauty and the best of island life for the chance to win some great prizes. We are thrilled to again welcome Jersey Post as our title sponsor, and also thank the Jersey Evening Post for their ongoing support.”
