For a stunning pine-lined sea view, head to the National Trust for Jersey's Grantez headland. Overlooking the sweep of St Ouen's bay, this beautiful headland makes a memorable picnic spot. 

St Brelade's Bay

Don't want to venture so far? Follow the walkway along St Brelade's Bay to the east, and climb the tree-lined mound in the centre of the bay for panoramic views without too much effort.

Jersey's lucky enough to have not one but two castles, and both Elizabeth Castle and the medieval Mont Orgueil Castle make great picnic locations. Choose a spot in the shadow of the battlements at Elizabeth Castle or close to Mont Orgueil's fragrant herb garden or on the castle top for dizzying views.

Adventurous picnickers will find the trek down the steps at Beauport, Portelet or Plémont beaches are worth it for the picturesque sandy coves and sheltered picnic spots on offer. Make sure you check the tide times before you set off though! Not so energetic? Try Grève de Lecq or Green Island for easy-to-access sandy beaches.
